I have found that the Bach Flower Remedies are pretty darn effective for dogs as well as humans. I was first introduced to the Rescue Remedy by a groomer I worked for many years ago. She found that spraying a bit of this remedy on a stressed out dog calmed them down significantly. The remedy is also effective for stressed out groomers!
Bach Flower Remedies are a form of energy healing. A minute amount of the flower essence is added to a carrier liquid. This changes the molecular structure of the carrier to the molecular structure of the flower essence. When administered, the healing ability of the flower is transferred to the recipient.

Please be sure to get the dog version of the remedy. The carrier liquid for humans is usually alcohol and this can be harmful for dogs. In the dog version, the carrier is vegetable glycerin.
